Accounting Principals has partnered with an Irving, TX client to hire an AP Manager for a direct hire opportunity. The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts payable department under the leadership of the Controller.

The position handles all aspects of vendor parables and expenses. The role provides financial support to the organization and completes check runs along with payments through processing invoices, purchases orders and payment transactions timely and accurately.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Entering invoices into the accounts payable financial software via A/P voucher system or PO system
• Route invoices for proper approval, coding and processing
• Maintain open invoices in accounts payable filing system
• Provide necessary information for month end accruals
• Review and reconcile invoices accurately and timely for payment
• Review and process checks requests
• Review and process expense reimbursement reports
• Process ACH payment files for A/P systems
• Load Integration manager transaction files
• Manage, guide and develop A/P Staff; sharing knowledge and expertise
• Develop and Maintain SOP
• Participate proactively in improving performance at the organizational, departmental and individual levels
• Other A/P duties as assigned by Direct Manager

• Represents professionally at all times through care delivered and/or services provided to all customers
• Function within federal, state, local, and professional guidelines and regulations
• Be available to work according to schedule and as required to effectively complete daily tasks
• Use resources in a fiscally responsible manner
• Promote the company through participation in community and professional organizations
• Participate proactively in improving performance at the organizational, departmental and individual levels
• Improve own professional knowledge and skill level
• Support research and educational activities
• Share expertise with co-workers both formally and informally
• Maintain the confidentiality of patients, families, colleagues and other sensitive situations within the company 
• Adhere to all safety and security policy and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prefers 4+ years overall AP experience in a fast paced environment
  • 2 years previous Supervisory experience
  • Great Plains or E-requester software a plus
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
  • Professional demeanor
  • Be available to work according to schedule and as required to effectively complete daily tasks
