We have partnered with a Lewisville T client to find an AP Manager for a full time position paying up to $65k. The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for the oversight of the Accounts Payable team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, prompt vendor payments, and statement reviews. This role oversees the day-to-day processing of invoices and implements processes and systems to improve the efficiency of the accounts payable department.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Lead the Accounts Payable Team including evaluating the performance and mentoring employees. Manage team productivity, accuracy and quality in processing vendor invoices and payables.
  • Provide accounting assistance to management and employees related to vendor invoices and payment processing research.
  • Investigate and handling of complex invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and complaints.
  • Ensure all vendor inquires and statements are reviewed/addressed in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the distribution of ACH remittances to ensure accurate and timely completion.
  • Process online payments as requested by CFO.
  • Partner with purchasing team to resolve purchase order discrepancies.
  • Compile weekly reports for CFO to review.
  • Supports budget and forecasting activities, as well as audits.
  • Assist accounting in securing proper documentation for new vendors before set-up.
  • Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Obtain a working knowledge of the POS system and its relationship to the accounting system.
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
  • Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
  • Support CFO with special projects and workflow process improvements.
  • Preparing ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • The Ideal Candidate:

  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate with vendors, staff, and store personnel.
  • Extreme attention to detail required – must produce high-quality work.
  • Ability to retain information (e.g., policies, procedures) or find it as needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Exhibit professional attitude, ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to jump in to complete an assignment
  • Computer literate and proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Strong time management skills, strong organizational skills, a quick learner, and a great teacher
