Parker & Lynch has partnered with a great company in San Francisco seeking an Accounts Payable Manager. The Accounts Payable Department is responsible for the accurate and timely payment of: Vendor invoices; Business expense reimbursements; Travel reimbursements; Credit application processing; Form 1099 processing; Nonresident alien tax assessments; and Compliance with Federal, State, and Sponsor Agencies’ guidelines. The AP Manager will monitor accounts payable and purchasing activities and supervise a team of five. Management or strong supervisory experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable staff, including timesheet approval and yearly performance appraisals.
  • Oversee scheduling and prioritizing of accounts payable and purchasing functions in accordance with existing Foundation policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Respond to Accounts Payable and Purchasing related inquiries from internal and external sources.
  • File governmental forms 1099’s, 1042’s, 590, DE542.
  • Manage preparation and posting of outgoing wires.
  • Prepare and reconcile audit schedules and manage auditor requests for external and CSU audits.
  • Establish and monitor procedures for compliance and efficiencies

    Core Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related filed or equivalent experience is required.
  • Progressive and increasing experience in accounts payable, including hands on involvement with invoicing and the full AP cycle.
  • Three years of overall supervisory experience is also required.
  • General knowledge of principles and methods of computerized and manual financial record keeping is required; knowledge of grant accounting and GASB preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate varied tasks, meets deadlines, and successfully complete projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure relationships with University administrators, independent auditors and the general public.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form and to maintain good working relations with faculty, staff, and students.

    Role: Full-time Direct Hire role

    Hours: 8:30-5:00, flexible in-time.

    Compensation: $100,000 - 110,000.
