Are you looking for a great career opportunity with the chance to gain some valuable AP experience? Accounting Principals has partnered with a Lewisville TX company to find an AP Associate. The role is contract-to-hire and will pay up to $18hr starting off. The AP Associate is responsible for completing full cycle accounts payable functions and general accounting support in a very high volume, fast paced, and deadline oriented environment.
What You Will Be Doing:
• Responsible for complete processing of accounts payables transactions
• Review and verify invoices and expense reimbursements for accuracy and general ledger coding
• Ensure invoices are processed in an accurate and timely manner and recorded in the proper period
• Analyze vendor accounts and negotiate extended terms with vendors when cash is restricted
• Process bank deposits via electronic scanner
• Handle questions and provide responses to all information requests from other departments, offices, and external vendors
• Vendor set up and maintenance
• Print, match, and mail checks to invoices after each check run
• Answer vendor inquiries as needed
• Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
• Prepare and file vendor 1099 forms
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practice
• Continuously work towards the improvement of the accounts payable process by analyzing trends and providing recommendations to manager
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Associates Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related business program or completion of an AP Certification Program
• Recent experience in an Accounts Payable position that required the use of a computerized AP system
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high volume, and deadline oriented environment
• Yardi and Quickbooks experience preferred but not required
