Accounting Principals is seeking an exceptional candidate for a Job Cost Analyst opportunity. This position is responsible for the overall accounting of a project that includes, but not limited to the initial set up of a project, billing all costs associated with the project, as well as tracking the financial data related to the construction of the project. The position will also prepare monthly billings, gross margin analysis, month end close, and serve as the point of contact for Project Managers regarding the financial aspect of their projects.

Job Summary / Purpose

Prepares, records, analyzes and reports on the cost of producing the organization's products and services. Analyzes capital budget requests. Maintains ledgers. Construction background preferred.

Essential Duties:

Performs project set up, change order entry, and overall maintenance of a project. Maintains project files. Prepares and enters project related journal entries.

Prepares and submits monthly project billings to include both lump sum and cost plus projects. Prepares and submits all required reports for assigned projects – CIP reports, lien waivers, project audits, etc.

Accomplishes month-end closing tasks for assigned business unit.

Reconciles and prepares monthly sales report for assigned business unit. Conducts business unit account reconciliations – suspense, previously closed, incentive, etc.

Conducts gross margin analysis to ensure the financial integrity of projects.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum education preferred of the position: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.

Minimum experience preferred of the position : 2-5 years
