Accounting Principals is looking to fill a contract Accounts Receivable Specialist role in Tacoma, WA.

This role handles the recording of cash receipts from the bank systems to the accounting system. Working within the Accounting Shared Services department this position will provide excellent Accounts Receivable accounting services to vendors and customers. Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Job Type: Contract/Temp
Hourly rate: $20.00-$24.00 (depending on experience)
Hours and Location: Full-time (40 hours/week) 100% ONSITE in Tacoma, WA

  • Provide exceptional customer service regarding collection issues
  • Oversee and complete accurate cash application to customer accounts and preparing reports such as aging and update management on status of accounts
  • Accountable for reducing delinquency and or tardiness for assigned accounts
  • Process customer payments, refunds, and credit memos
  • Reconciliation of cash batches to bank activity daily
  • Process refunds, bad debt write-offs and contributions as requested within company policy
    Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree desired in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or related field
  • 3 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and have a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to interact with customers and vendors in a professional, respectful, and articulate manner over the phone
  • The ability to use standard software applications and be proficient in Windows, MS Suite
  • (Outlook) PowerPoint, Word, Excel
  • Experience with Lawson is preferred
