Accounting Principals is recruiting for an experienced Accounts Receivable Administrator for our client located in Auburn Hills, MI. The Accounts Receivable Administrator will be responsible for issuing invoices, overseeing bookkeeping and accounting work associated with incoming payments, tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues, reconciling accounts, and generating aging reports on a timely manner. Candidates interested in this position should have at least 3 years of prior AR and Collections experience. We are looking for candidates to maintain ledgers, credit balances and resolve any account discrepancies related to receivables. 

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and post payments to appropriate accounts 
  • Prepare and distribute invoices 
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Resolve any billing inquiries
  • Maintain daily, weekly and monthly receivable deposits
  • Record incoming cash activity to the general ledger
  • Conduct account research and analysis
  •  Assist with month-end closing
  • Prepare and maintain various reports
  • Requirements:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in accounts receivable and collections
  • Bachelors degree in a related accounting field, preferred 
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy 
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
