Accounts Receivable Specialist

 

Accounting Principals is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a client in Middletown, OH. The main responsibilities of this role include following up on outstanding accounts and ensure timely payment of account receivables. This is a contract position that is expected to last 2-4 months. Pay will range between $17 and $20 depending on experience.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain positive and productive working relationships
  • Ensure timely payment of accounts receivables as well as policy deposits
  • Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable
  • Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to customers.
  • Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions
  • Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment
  • Review and remit monthly agency statements and reports
  • Recommend/process account adjustments, small balance write-offs, customer reconciliations and credit memos
  • Additional duties as needed
  •  

    Qualifications:

  • Associates degree preferred
  • 2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with an ERP Accounting System
  •
