Accounting Principals is actively seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a growing client! 

Primary Function:

This position is responsible supporting the daily operation needs of the Accounting Department including but not limited to billing, cash applications, credit management, and accounts receivable reconciliation/collection activities

Specific duties will include:

  • Process and posts customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
  • Prepare, process, and post bills and invoices
  • Communicate with customers, sales force, operations, and internally as required
  • Resolve any past due or billing issues with customers and address ongoing customer complaints of billing or services rendered
  • Research and resolve any unapplied cash and short pays
  • Cash deposit reconciliations
  • Assist in collection efforts
  • Identify bad debt accounts that need to be reserved for to the controller
  • Recommend to controller when customer accounts should be put on credit hold
  • Ensure invoicing is being performed in compliance with GAAP and the current customer contracts
  • Turn accounts over to collections agency after internal process deemed to be no longer effective
  • Perform customer account maintenance
  • Prepares documentation necessary to create the credit or debit memo necessary to true up a customer account
  • Perform all three way matches for the invoice process for invoicing and pricing
  • Manages new customer setup process as defined by the company
  • Maintain Bankruptcy files on customers
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Training/Skills

  • 3-5 years of AR experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field required
  • Required to be fluent in English to perform the essential functions and responsibilities as well as strong business acumen
  • Must be able to understand GL accounting, possess strong technical accounting skills, and have strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Excellent database management and record keeping skills required
  • Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and follow through.
  • Pay: $40-50k

    Advanced knowledge of Great Plains and intermediate skills with MSWord and Excel required
