Accounts Receivable Specialist with Sales Tax experience


Our client in Cincinnati is looking to add an experienced accounts receivable professional wot their team on a temp to hire basis. The ideal candidate will have strong AR experience along with experience or exposure to sales tax filing.


Job Duties:

  • Processes accounts receivable and revenue collection functions including preparing, printing, and posting invoices, following up on outstanding invoices and administering collections when necessary. Includes processing invoices in customer portals and following up to assure correct positing. Works with salespersons and project managers when processing progress billings and collecting past due payments.
  • Performs transaction processing related to accounts receivable, revenue collection and bank deposits
  • Maintains job folders and assures invoicing is performed timely. Also performs job costing reports and filing jobs.
  • Maintains freight billings and tracks shipments for accurate delivery. Recaps freight invoices and assures all shipments are invoiced correctly and the correct jobs are coded.
  • Reviews sales tax amounts on all invoices and monitors tax exempt certificates. Reviews sales tax returns received Avalara and assures correct amounts and then files monthly/quarterly/annual returns.
  • Works with Accounts Payable regarding overlapping job duties.
  • Answers incoming calls and greets visitors. Announces guests to their invitees


  • 3+ years of recent Accounts Receivable experience
  • Experience with Sales tax filing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Associate degree or higher is preferred but not required
