Accounting Principals has partnered with a company in downtown Indianapolis in search of an Accounts Receivable Manager to join their Accounting department. This individual will be responsible for managing the team, managing daily cash, and outside relationships. The ideal candidate will have previous accounts receivable/cash and management experience. Compensation for this position begins at $60,000.  

Job Duties:

  • Assures timely collection of monies due to company.
  • Monitors and reports on deviations from credit standards.
  • Manages cash applications making sure all cash receipts are applied properly.
  • Assures that the company’s standard template regarding invoice sample is in place for every customer.
  • Conducts credit checks on all customers. Establishes and manages limits.
  • Makes recommendations to improve the quality of invoicing and collection procedures.
  • Weekly reporting of aging.
  • Oversees accounts receivable write-offs and payment reversals.
  • Oversees the applying of payments in the accounting system.
  • AR Manager will be required to effectively manage staff.
  • Assists in month-end closing.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business / accounting or 5+ years experience in accounts receivable / cash management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, MS Word).
  • Managerial skills and experience are a must.
  • Well-developed analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver assignments on time.
  • Successful in dealing with customers and company personnel at all levels.
