Accounts Payable Coordinator


Accounting Principals is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to work in the Melville area.  Ideal candidate will have a one to three years job experience with accounts payable, invoicing, matching, assistance with month end closing.

To qualify for this account’s payable job, the qualified candidate should have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.


 Accounts Payable Job Responsibilities:


•       Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment


•       Sort and distribute incoming mail


•       Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms


•       Process check requests


•       Audit and process credit card bills


•       Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly


•       Respond to all vendor inquiries


•       Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies


•       Assist in month end closing
