Responsibilities of this Accounts Payable Supervisor include:
Verify all incoming invoices and any nuances that may be required for AP staff’s attention for processing.
Manage staff month-end closing review
Verify with staff status of vendor’s reconciliation of statement any inquiries with regards to differences.
Coordinates, prepare and review monthly, quarterly and yearly AP aging report including monthly review with the VP of Accounting
Develop, implement and maintain system, procedures and policies related to accounts payable function to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
Weekly aging reports are generated, verified for check review selection.
Verify receipts for accuracy and guidelines, employee expense reports as it conforms to company policy.
Manage, motivate, enhance and develop team engagement to achieve department’s objectives and goals.
Assists with internal and external audits as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the VP of Accounting and perform AD HOC analysis as needed.
Supervise staff and check invoices are posted correctly (terms, invoice dates, amount, GL)
Streamline existing A/P procedures and workflow to be more efficient
Assist VP of Accounting with special projects
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance preferred but not required
5+ years of experience with business and accounting/financial reporting processes, systems and in in-depth knowledge of accounting policies.
Experience researching and analyzing
3+ years of prior supervisory experience, managing 6+ people
Strong excel skills (navigating and creating spreadsheets).
Multi-State experience helpful.
Demonstrate excellent documentation, follow through skills and flexibility dealing with all levels of staff.
Established a strong working relationship both internal and external contacts.
Highly flexible and adaptable to any changing environment and can easily transitioned to multiple diverse group.
Effective verbal, written communications and possess strong analytical skills.
Resilient, calm and understands a solid and structured company culture.
