Accounting Principals is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a full-time, direct hire position with a client in Ashland, VA. This position is in-office.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing purchase order, approval and project related invoices;
  • Computing use tax;
  • Processing payroll deductions in coordination with the Payroll department, assisting with the processing of daily EFT transactions and weekly check runs along with filing and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both external vendors and internal customers.
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of multi-company A/P experience with knowledge of GL and basic accounting functions;
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment; exceptional attention to detail;
  • Keying accuracy;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Experience with Intacct, Accrualify or related accounting software, and invoice scanning in a high volume position preferred.
  • Construction industry experience is also a plus.
  • Compensation:  $18-21/hr
