Our client in Auburn Hills, MI is looking to add an AP Specialist to their Team on a Temp basis. This position will pay between $20-$27/hr. and can start asap!
Maintain AP email in-box
Match invoices to receiving paperwork daily.
Send out invoices for approval, following up for timely return and coding
Work with purchasing on vouchers that have not been received, incorrect pricing, or added costs for approval. Follow-up each day with outstanding items.
Solve problems with invoices (i.e. past dues, matching PO’s, signatures). Work with vendors to send all invoices/statements to AP email
Enter vouchers for all companies with correct data fields
Select vouchers for payment, match and mail checks.
Reconcile vendor statements each month. Request copies of invoices and credits. Request to match like credits/short pays.
File paid invoices within one day of payment
Provide Accounting Manager with copies of Prepaid and CapEx invoices
Assist with providing vendors requested sales tax cert’s
Assist HR by filing in for receptionist when needed by answering phone, sorting and delivering mail
Other duties as assigned
1-3 years of recent Accounts Payable experience
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Willingness to help with other accounting functions when needed
Ability to work in fast paced environment
