Accounts Payable Specialist
Accounting Principals is searching for an AP Specialist for a start up in the Seattle, WA area. This is a temporary position where you will be helping the team with added work volume. At least two years of previous AP experience is desired for the individual joining the team. It’s most important that you are comfortable learning quickly and functioning with a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment. You will be working remote so you must be comfortable learning quickly and keeping yourself on task without oversight. While a lot of your responsibilities will be high volume processing, you will need to be comfortable communicating with vendors. Customer service and professional communication skills will be crucial for this position. The team is working remote for now, so there is a good chance your contract will be wrapped up before the team returns to office.
Responsibilities
Review and update vendor accounts and information
Coding and processing accounts payable invoices
Assisting with AP journal entries and month end close tasks
Vendor management and communication
Additional projects as needed
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
At least two years of accounting experience
Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas)
Ability to function efficiently in a high volume, ever-changing environment
