Accounts Payable Specialist

A growing company in the south Seattle, WA area is searching for a permanent accounting professional to join their team. This would be an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to get their accounting career started. If you have a bachelor’s degree in accounting but haven’t had a lot of accounting work experience, you could still be considered for this position. The team is looking for someone who is passionate about building an accounting career and working with an accounting team. this position will be fully onsite for training and then you will be able to work a hybrid schedule. As the AP Specialist, you will be processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and assisting with month end close. The team is friendly, and the manager will mentor you to help you move up in the organization.

Job Duties:

  • Match and code accounts payable invoices
  • Ensure that vendors are paid in a timely manner
  • Research and respond to vendor inquiries
  • Post accounts payable related journal entries and assist with month end close
  • Vendor statement reconciliations
  • Additional tasks as needed
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • At least a year of professional office or accounting work experience
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate with others and communicate professionally
  • Desire to pursue an accounting career
