Accounting Principals is recruiting for a Junior Accountant with Accounts Payable Experience. This position is reporting directly to the Accounting Manager.

Job Description:
The Accounts Payable Administrator will be responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for the company.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies in a timely fashion.
Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
Audit and process credit card bills and freight bills.
Records entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes petty cash.
Calculates and reports sales tax based on paid invoices.
Process reimbursements to employees for travel expense, education and supplies.
Maintain 1099 schedule at year end.
Maintain fixed asset schedule.
Establishes and maintains relationships with new and existing vendors. Respond to their phone calls or e-mails.
Work with Purchasing and Inspection departments to facilitate payments to suppliers.
Keeps tracks of documentation when parts are being rejected and returned to vendors.
Assists with accounts receivable projects as necessary.
Scans all A/P documents and organizes and maintains file system.
Assists with Auditors requests.
Other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with high concentration in Word and Excel.
Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
Solid data entry skills with high level of accuracy.
Ability to solve practical problems
Must be a team player.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from four-year University preferred.
Associate’s degree in accounting or business required.
Minimum two years related experience.
