Hi there!

We are actively looking to add an Accounts Payable Specialist our team in our Pleasant Grove, CA location!  We are a large multi-location construction equipment provider with 16 locations throughout California 

Our Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing a high volume of AP invoices (about 400-800/week).  Keep in mind this wouldn't be full-cycle processing.

This is a contract-to-hire position and the compensation is 20-24/hr DOE... ideally we would like to convert the person to permanent with us as soon as possible depnding on performance and circumstance.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process high volume of invoices in our computer system.
  • Reviews payable invoices for accuracy and matches to the purchase order submitted for authorization of purchase.
  • Codes payable invoices with correct general ledger codes to ensure proper entry into system. 
  • Prioritize invoices according to payment terms.
  • Assists accounting department as necessary.
  • Processes check requests.
  • Communicates with co-workers, management, vendors and others regarding purchases.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • SKILLS and REQUIREMENTS

  • At least one (1) year of experience handling high volume AP transactions
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages.  
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Ability to learn, interpret, and apply to specific cases the provisions of laws and rules, or regulations enforced or administered; deal with people tactfully; prepare reports; analyze situations accurately and take effective action.  
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.  
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form..
