Accounting Principals is working with one of our clients looking to fill an Accounts Payable Specialist job for the corporate office located in Napa, CA.  This position is 100 percent in-office! The ideal candidate will have Accounts Payable experience within the construction industry! The role will work heavily with purchase orders matching to the invoice, ensuring proper documentation is attached, and the appropriate approval is attained. The position will work closely with the project managers and the contract administrator. The job will validate the cost code against the project budget, request W-9’s, review vendor statements and follow up according, and work on projects as assigned.


Qualifications for the job include:

- Associates Degree or a related trade education in Accounting and 2 years of Accounts Payable experience required

- Construction industry experience highly preferred

- Comfortable working with purchase orders and experience with unconditional and conditional final release  

- Analytical, detailed, a problem-solver, and organized

- Excellent analytical skills with ability to assess reliability of data source and understand relational

- Solid knowledge of accounting knowing your debits and credits

- Team player, proactive, and deadline driven

- Reliable, energetic, and gets the job done

- Detailed, a problem-solver, and organized

- Strong communications written and verbal comfortable communicating with projects managers and customers

- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)


Compensation: $25.00 – $30.00
