Overview/General Description
This role requires the Associate to approve, enter and reconcile A/P records. A successful candidate must be well organized, able to communicate with a firm, but professional, patient and courteous manner, and be mindful of maintaining positive customer relationships.  Should also be a self-starter.  The objectives for this position are clear; once trained the employee is expected to work independently for the most part.

  • Process vendor invoices, including GL coding
  • Validate & process inventory receipts for payment
  • Process employee expenses
  • Prepare checks and outgoing wires for processing
  • Review purchase orders for accuracy
  • Maintain vendor files and records
  • Communicate with vendors via email, telephone
  • Create and post Journal Entries to record bank transfers and other GL transactions
  • Gather and provide documentation to external auditors
  • Reconciliation of corporate credit cards
  • Cooperate and communicate with other team members and departmental staff to meet business goals
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including adhering to scheduling and attendance requirements
  • Perform other duties as requested or required by business conditions

  • Comfortable communicating with vendors via phone and/or email
Education and Experience

  • Experience in MS Word and Excel
  • Minimum 2 years experience in an Accounts Payable role

  • Experience with Sales Tax Filings
  • Experience with Expense Reporting Softwares
