Accounting Principals is partnering up with a property management company in Kirkland Washington to look for a Payroll and Accounts Payable specialist. This person will support the payroll function in the accounting department but primarily be doing Accounts Payable. If selected, you will be joining a small team that will provide different avenues of growth and advancement! See below for more details.

In this position you will:

  • Reviewing and processing Invoices
  • Maintain accuracy and appropriate coding for all invoices
  • Reconcile vendor statements and answer inquires
  • Process, post, and distribute payments
  • Process expense reports and payments regarding expenses
  • Process Payroll, 1099 Statements, and submit 401k Contributions
  • Provides back up assistance with administering the payroll and time-keeping system as needed.
  • Manage and oversee credit card charges and payments
  • Perform other duties that are needed to support the Accounting Department
  • Perform other general Accounting projects and tasks as assigned.
  • To be successful for this role you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field of study, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable (using Sage Mass 90 or Sage 100 preferred)
  • 3 years of experience in Payroll Processing (using ADP or any major payroll software preferred)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and as a cohesive member of a team
  • Able to consistently meet deadlines
  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment.
