Accounting Principals is seeking an Accounts Payable/ Payroll Coordinator for a full-time, contract-to-hire position with a client in Richmond, VA. This position is hybrid.
Ensure invoices are accurately coded and properly approved.
Prepare and cut checks, bank transfers and/or ACH transactions weekly or more frequently, as needed.
Accurately process employee payroll by established deadlines.
Ensure timesheets and leave requests are accurate and that appropriate approvals are in place.
Reconcile monthly credit card activity.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
Maintain organized AP files, filing daily as needed.
Support requests from other United Way departments and programs.
Provide assistance, schedules, and support for annual external audit.
Provide back-up support to receptionist on a shared, rotating basis.
High school diploma or equivalent required; BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent accounting experience preferred.
1 to 3 years of accounts payable and payroll experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet scheduled deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent customer service skills.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
Compensation: $18-21/hr contracting; $40-45K/yr perm
