Ready to take the next step in your career? Our client in the Cincinnati area is looking for an experienced AP Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing others but most importantly the desire to make an impact on the organization.
 
Your Duties and Responsibilities
• Manages AP staff, Customer Vendor Relations, and the AP disbursement group which handles all check disbursements, electronic, wire and credit card payments and 1099s for 3 company entities
• Take an active role in the preparation of month end closing including preparing journal entries for processing, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports
• Provides accounting assistance to business managers and operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.
• Conduct quarterly AP session with Business managers that include training and AP policies
• Utilize Great Plains software along with WorkPlace for processing of all AP related transactions and reporting
• Monthly AP accruals
• Integrate excel spreadsheets for new vendors and invoices into Great Plains software
• Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
• Selects and hires employees for the groups mentioned above. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions
• Monitor invoice intake and processing to ensure all invoices are processed timely
• Monitor bi-weekly and monthly recurring payments
• Backup for all AP positions
 
 
Qualifications:
 
• BS or BA degree in business preferred
• Experience with Great Plains
• Ability to take initiative and problem solve with minimal direction
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting accountants, clients, and upper management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
