If you are an Accounts Payable professional looking to join an organization where you have the ability to learn new skills and grow professionally, look no further!  Accounting Principals has a position available for an Accounts Payable Associate located in West Trenton, NJ on a temp to hire basis.  For this role you must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and preferably 1 year of hands on accounting experience.

  • Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Prints and obtains signatures on all accounts payable checks
  • Distributes signed checks as required
  • Prepares garnishment checks per reports from payroll
  • Acts as liaison between corporate and branch offices
  • Answers all vendor inquires
  • Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts payable files
  • Prepares analysis of accounts as required
  • Performs filing and coping
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned - general accounting tasks, ad hoc projects
  • Obtains 1099 information
  • Ensures proper coding of invoices
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Accounting
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience focused on accounts payable
  • Proficient knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Problem Solving/Analysis
  • Flexibility of responsibilities and duties
  • Strong organization and communication skills
