Accounting Principals is in search of an Accounts Payable Analyst who can travel to Fort Lauderdale or located in the area to join the accounting department of a best in class organization. In this role, the Accounts Payable Analyst will be a key player in keeping financial records organized. Our client is looking for a Accounts Payable Analyst who is a self-starter that can strive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and processes accounts payable in a timely manner
  • Analyze and interpret complicated financial data
  • Perform reconciliations of vendor statements to the AP sub-ledger
  • Assist with month-end close, special projects and ad-hoc reporting as needed
  • Ensure invoices are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with New and Existing Vendors
  • research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
  • provide supporting documentation for audits
  • Assist with the development of standard operating procedures over the accounts payable & cash disbursements process
  • Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
  • Assist with other AP needs

    Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Prior experience assisting with month-end close activities such as preparation of accrual schedules, reconciliations
  • SAP software preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years experience in automated accounts payable
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
  • QuickBooks experience is a plus
  • Proficient user in Microsoft Office applications (Excel)

    Salary: $58,000

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/scanners, and filing cabinets.

    Physical Demands

    This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.


    No travel is expected for this position.
