Are you looking for a great career opportunity with a growing company? We have a property accountant position in Dallas, Texas that is a direct-hire role that is paying up to $45K/yr based on experience. One of the main responsibilities of this position is entering and processing company payables and receivables.
What you'll be doing as the AP / AR Property Accountant:
• Timely and accurate payment of invoices
• Full cycle A/P (coding, data entry, proofing work as well as other people’s coding, cutting checks, matching invoices, mailing, and filing)
• Verifies the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records
• Create / Maintain master lists to ensure all invoices are paid timely
• Reconciling Vendor Accounts
• Vendor Set-Up
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with vendors and internal departments
• Deposit and processing of company cash receipts and tenant billings
• Administrator of commercial leasing including initial lease setup, maintenance, and tenant terminations/move outs
What would make you the perfect candidate:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college level accounting preferred
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in General Accounting functions (including Accounts Payable/Receivable) preferred
• Strong ability to utilize 10-key function for data entry
• Strong Excel skills required
• Yardi-Payscan experience preferred
• Extremely organized & detail oriented
• Able to handle large volumes quickly and accurately
• Sense of urgency
• Good communication skills – written & verbal
• Working knowledge of Excel
• Accounting background (can help with JE’s – reclasses, accruals)
