Accounting Principals is partnering with service company to identify an individual for a contract to hire Accounting Technician job in Carlsbad, CA. You must have a minimum of two years of experience processing accounts payable and preferably some exposure to payroll. The company offers good work life balance, strong tenure and benefits!
In this role, you will be responsible for processing accounts payable and assisting with processing payroll.
Accounting Technician Responsibilities:
Enter invoices, prepare batches for payment and maintain the general ledger
Maintain and track vendor updates and statements, purchase orders, and all receiving documents
Verifies and reconciles use tax
Prepare cash receipts for deposit
Maintain petty cash disbursements
Assist with processing bi-weekly payroll and journal entries
Assist with filing quarterly payroll taxes
Various ad hoc projects
Minimum of two years of accounts payable experience
2- or 4-year degree preferred
Experience with Microsoft Excel
