Accounting Specialist
Our client in the Dayton Ohio area is looking to add an accounting specialist to their team on a temp to perm basis. 2+ years of recent accounting experience is required along with intermediate Microsoft Excel skills. Pay will depend on experience and education.
Responsibilities of this Accounting Specialist job include:
Support month-end close activities
Daily bank deposits and processing
Manage AP email box for handling and distribution
Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, credit card, and electronic transactions
Issue invoice corrections in accordance with company policy
Generate direct billing invoices and credit card billings in a timely manner
Process manual customer credit card payments
Prepare and post journal entries to record bank activity
Ensure all transactions are posted correctly
Assist as needed in the activities of A/P and A/R
Ad hoc activities
Minimum Requirements
3+ years of accounting experience
Understanding of GAAP
Able to collaborate with a team and work independently
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, proactive, willing to learn and teach
