Our client is looking for an individual for a contract to hire Accounting Specialist job in Greenfield, IN. Qualified candidates should have three years of accounts payable and accounts receivable experience combined with reconciliations for credit cards, accounts, etc.. Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable
  • Review monthly statements
  • Check, verify and process invoices
  • Reconcile several credit cards statements monthly
  • Reconcile bank accounts and G/L accounts
  • Generate monthly reports and invoices
  • Maintain accounting records
  • Creates accurate journal entries, as appropriate
  • Follow-up on aging accounts to collect outstanding balances
  • Resolves all inter-company discrepancies
  • Assist in month end reporting procedures
  • Respond to any vendor inquires and research discrepancies
  • Perform filing and general administrative tasks
  • Requirements:

  • Accounting Degree highly preferred
  • Three years of accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (preferred);
  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting processes and US GAAP
  • Mastery of MS Office including MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Flexible positive attitude
  • Keen attention to detail
