Accounting Principals is currently working on an exciting new consulting opportunity in Downtown Manhattan, NY in the hospitality sector seeking a multi-faceted Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the completion of general ledger accounts, financial statements, and financial analysis for five entities.  This position offers an energetic work environment therefore the ideal candidate should thrive in a fast paced, goal-oriented atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage month-end close including review of operational transactions, journal entries and reconciliations
  • Analyze monthly financial data and make sure all monthly activity has been recorded and reconciled to GL 
  • Consolidate month-end reporting for multiple entities 
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • Design operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency
  • Serve as back up for payroll 
  • Participate in annual audits and special projects
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
  •  

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Experience in the hospitality sector a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Payroll processing experience ideally through Ceridean 
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
