A company in the downtown Seattle area is looking for an accounting professional for the next five months to help cover a leave of absence. You will be trained on the procedures to handle both AR and AP duties. You will be working directly with the Accounting Manager, but you need to be comfortable working independently. This is a sole contributor position, but you will work onsite and there will be some other people in the office. It would be preferred if you had at least two years of accounting experience or education classes in the accounting field could substitute. Previous experience on an ERP software system is preferred, but you will be trained on their system. In order to provide as much training as possible, the interview process will be fast so you can start quickly.
Processing accounts payable invoices
Obtaining expense approvals and processing for payment
Posting payments to accounts
Reconciling bank statements
Handling daily cash reports and bank deposits
Additional duties as needed
Desired Skill Set:
At least two years of accounting experience or education
Previous experience on an ERP software system
Ability to learn quickly and ask for help when needed
Self-manage and work independently to meet deadlines
High attention to detail
