Accounting Clerk

Accounting Principals is currently seeking a self-motivated and talented person to work with a client in Phoenix as an Accounting Clerk. This position offers an individual the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. In this role you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your professional skills with one of the top companies in the state!

The ideal candidate is someone that is motivated and interested in learning new skills while being quick learning and adaptable themselves.

Responsibilities:

•     Prepare, Code, and Enter Invoices and Purchase Orders

•     Follow up with vendors and customers to gather payment information

•     Post payments, cut checks, and enter ACH information

•     Aid in Month-end close and reconciliations

•     Assist the Accounting department as necessary

Qualifications:

•     Exposure to Accounting, Inventory, or Cash Balancing Skills:

•     Quick learner

•     Good communicator in verbal and written form Experience:

•     1 Year in an Office environment Or • 2-3 Years working with inventory in a retail environment

 

        Job Type: • Full time, Contract-to-Hire Hours:

Responsibilities:

•     Retrieving, preparing, and presenting general ledger

•     Must be able to calculate payroll, accruals, and fixed assets

•     Must be able to perform account analysis and bank reconciliation

•     Must be able to process monthly financial reporting

•     Must be able to balance the general ledger for monthly financials

•     Must be able to perform monthly reconciliation on every account

•     Must be able to complete quarterly payroll reports

•     Must be able to reconcile balance sheet

Qualifications:

•     Healthcare experience preferred

•     Proficient knowledge in Accounting

•     Exceptional Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)

•     Inclination to learn new applications and software

•     Excel - Pivot Tables and V lookups

Skills:

•     Attention to detail, time management, organizational skills

•     Analytical, multi-tasking skills

•     The ability to meet aggressive deadlines

•     Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience:

•     3 or more years of experience

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Compensation:

•     $ 23-24/hr
