We have a client searching for a Cash Application Specialist in the Louisville area. You would be responsible for applying customer payments in a timely and accurate manner and other various duties that include research, verification, working with various departments both internal and external, processing payments, and adjustment processing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the activity within all cash accounts for the entire organization
  • Daily processing of payments received through lock box
  • Processing payments, adjustments, cash transactions and charges
  • Daily phone communication with internal and external customers
  • Post ACHs and refund checks
  • Research and solve payment discrepancies
  • Review/Audit new accounts for proper entry
  • Assist Commercial Collection Specialists to research/resolve over and short payments and un-applied cash
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned
  • Qualifications/requirements:

  • Associates degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
  • A minimum of one-year experience in an accounting related role
  • High level of organizational skills, integrity and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • The ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Superior data entry and 10-key skills required
  • Able to manage multiple priorities
  • Able to work in a team environment
