Accounting Principals has teamed up with a local client in Portland Oregon to look for an Accounting Assistant. This person will be exposed to the company’s Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, and the monthly statements that will go to the various stake holders. This person will also see some customers indirectly so strong personality and sales skills will be a major asset in this position! See below for more information!

In this position you will:

  • Be assisting the controller with General ledger oversight, budgeting, and other accounting tasks
  • Entering invoices for all departments
  • Monitoring billing discrepancies and past due invoices
  • Conducting 1099 processing
  • Filing invoices
  • Updates fixed asset schedule
  • Reviews general ledger accounts with controller to adhere with GAAP Standards
  • Assist with month end close
  • Special duties as assigned by controller
  • To be successful for this position you will need:

  • 1-2 years of accounting experience in a similar role or function
  • Minimum associates degree in accounting preferred
  • Good solid understanding of accounting principles and basic bookkeeping procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Great customer service skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Fantastic written and verbal communication
