Accounting Assistant

Accounting Principals is partnering with a local accounting to fill an Accounting Assistant position in Albuquerque. You must have 3+ years in an accounting assistant role. You must also have strong Microsoft Excel skills. This position will involve supporting various clerical and accounting functions. Responsibilities:

  • Process and voucher vendor invoices
  • Manually post all unposted payments received electronically
  • Prepare and record company financial transactions, preparing supplemental schedules
  • Assist with requesting funds in manual banking accounts reconcile credit card statements
  • Identifying past due invoices for collection
  • Research past due invoices and verify progress
  • Assist with month end close month-end responsibilities
  • Other projects as assigned
  • Requirements:

  • Three years of accounting experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Familiarity with Sage Accounting software or Quickbooks preferred
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Employment Type: Contract to hire

    Pay:  $14 - $16 per hour based upon experience

    Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
