Responsibilities

  • Reconcile bank accounts and performs general ledger analysis
  • Process accounts payable, 1099 reporting, 945 tax reporting and end of month closing
  • Directly involved in the processing of Mortgage and SBA accounting
  • Record journal entries as needed and responsible for fixed asset management
  • Understand and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established by Susser Bank
  • Perform duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of pertinent information and records
  • Maintain current and up-to-date knowledge and continues professional development through training as applicable
  • Demonstrate a courteous, pleasant, self-motivated, and dependable behavior. Maintaining a professional environment in both appearance and conduct
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or directed
  • Education and Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
  • Prior banking experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is preferred
  • Skills and Abilities Required

  • Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team
  • The ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient using Microsoft Excel, other Microsoft Office products, FISERV or other GL system, and other accounting software systems
  • Pay: $70-$75K
