Accounting Principals is working with one of our clients looking to fill a Part-Time Accountant job for the corporate office located in Vallejo, CA.  This position will be a combination of in-office and remote working 4 days a week. The right candidate should have at least 3 years of experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper.  You will be responsible for reconciling bank accounts monthly, journal entries, processing invoices (75 weekly), process wires, cutting checks, assist in the preparation of payroll, handle the credit card transactions, and assist with any projects as assigned.


Qualifications for the job include:

- Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting would be preferred

- Software experience with Quickbooks required

- Solid knowledge of accounting (GAAP) knowing your general accounting debits and credits 

- Experience with purchase orders and inventory would be a plus

- Strong reconciliations skills

- Able to work independently in-office and remotely (work from home)

- Reliable, thorough, and dedicated 

- Attention to detail, team player, and organized

- Solid communications (written & verbal)

- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)


Experience: 3 to 5 years of accounting experience as an Accountant (Staff Accountant, Bookkeeper)

Compensation: $27.00 – $32.00

Employment Type: Temporary (6 months)
