Accounting Principals is looking to fill an Accountant job opportunity for this stable East Bay company located in Pleasant Hill, California. This position is 100% in-office! The right candidate should have at least 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant and be extremely comfortable with the General Ledger. The candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer and be responsible for managing various accounting and financial records, prepare detailed complex reports, and perform a variety of technical  accounting functions.   


Responsibilities include:

- Responsible for preparing monthly financial statements

- Reconcile and analyze a variety of General Ledger accounts

- Prepare journal entries including GL account reconciliation, bank reconciliations, positive pay and investment reconciliations

- Participate in the preparation of the annual budget, prepare cash flow and expenditure  projections

- Monitor various accounts regarding the availability of funds , research and analyze transactions, and resolve problems as needed

- Provide audit assistance  

- Assist with duties and project as assigned



- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required

- Strong technical accounting knowledge (principals and procedure for financial record keeping, reporting, and auditing)

- Software experience with a medium to large ERP preferred

- Able to work independently, take initiative, and be self-motivated

- Attention to detail, problem-solver, analytical, multi-tasker, and strong time management skills

- Strong communications (written & verbal)  

- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel - Advanced, Word & Outlook)


Experience: 3 years of Accounting experience (Accountant, Staff Accountant, GL Accountant)

Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000
