•Reconciles interfaces between the policy administration systems, data warehouse and general ledger.
•Performs data entries including GAAP journals, general recurring journals and miscellaneous entries, as necessary, to meet the monthly closing schedule requirements.
•Prepares general ledger account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.
•Assists in accurate and timely product tax reporting (state and federal).
•Assists with various audit requests.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
•1-3 years accounting and reporting experience, preferably in the financial services and/or insurance industry
•Demonstrated ability to solve problems and issues of all types
•Advanced working knowledge of basic office and PC applications, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
•Excellent oral, written, listening, and presentation skills and ability to clearly articulate complex information to others
