Bookkeeper role and responsibilities

As a bookkeeper, you'll have to maintain your organization's books, as well as the accounting records of financial transactions. You'll also:

  • Reconcile and balance accounts
  • Verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or electronic files
