Jacksonville, FL (October 14, 2004) – Accounting Principals, the accounting and finance staffing and recruitment unit of MPS Group, Inc. (NYSE:MPS), today announced the acquisition of AccountingSolutions, one of nation’s largest privately held accounting and finance staffing companies. With this combination, Accounting Principals becomes a Top Five company among U.S.-based providers of financial staffing and recruitment services. AccountingSolutions generated $37 million in revenue for the year ended December 31, 2003. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

AccountingSolutions specializes in helping firms hire top-quality accounting, finance and banking professionals on a direct-hire, contract-to-hire, and contract basis. Its clients range from Fortune 500 companies to middle-market firms seeking additional accounting and finance expertise. AccountingSolutions recruits and places a broad range of accounting professionals, from accounting administrators to chief financial officers.

Accounting Principals has experienced strong organic growth throughout 2004. While Accounting Principals has historically focused primarily on contract staffing, the company increased its presence in the direct-hire and contract-to-hire markets in 2004. The acquisition of AccountingSolutions strengthens these capabilities even further. The combined companies will have a strong national footprint, with 47 offices in 38 markets, and a broad array of services.
